Know Before You Bet: Casino Games with the Best & Worst Odds

Best & Worst Casino Game Odds

Many people will visit casinos this summer. They might go to Vegas, a cruise ship, or a local place for a staycation.

But before you place your bets, knowing which games give you the best shot at winning is wise.

We went behind the scenes at two casinos and talked to game managers about which games are best for players.

Knowing the house edge is key when you visit a casino or play online at 22Bet. It can help you make better bets and boost your winnings.

Table Games Your Best Bet

Jay Bean, a Caesar’s floor manager, agreed to meet with us to discuss the games with the best odds.

He pointed out that many people don’t realize table games offer much better odds than slot machines. They worry about card sharks taking their money. They imagine a tough Texas Hold ‘Em tournament. So, they pick safer games like slots.

He explained that by skipping table games, players may be missing out on a smarter way to gamble.

Blackjack

According to Bean, blackjack offers the best winning odds, with a house edge of around 1% in most casinos.

Plus, you’re only playing against the dealer—there’s no need to worry about facing seasoned poker pros.

“Blackjack is easy to pick up,” Bean said. “Your aim is to get a higher total than the dealer without going over 21.”

If you’re new, Bean suggests sitting down in the afternoon when it’s less busy. The dealer will help guide you through the game, making it beginner-friendly.

But that’s not the case with poker. Practicing with friends at home can help you feel more confident before playing. Bean advised that new players might want to avoid poker tables, as the competition can be tough.

Craps

He suggests leaving the Blackjack table for Craps. Craps has the second-best odds, almost 50-50.

Bean noted that the craps table might look overwhelming at first due to its complex layout. But at its core, it’s simple—you’re betting on the outcome of a dice roll, and it offers some of the best odds in the casino.

Roulette

After blackjack and craps, Bean suggests heading to the roulette wheel. It’s simple, and pays fairly well.

“Simply bet on your lucky numbers,” Bean said. “The dealer spins the wheel; if your number hits, you win.”

If you bet on red or black in roulette, your chances of winning are nearly 50-50. If the ball lands on your chosen color, you’ll double your money, Bean explained.
